This Privacy Policy explains how MatrixOwl, LLC ("MatrixOwl," "OUR", "WE," or "US") collects, uses, stores, and shares your information when you use OUR Services, including BeGo Reports, Funding Readiness Reports, Funding Readiness Audit, consultative services, user support options, and other services we may add in the future. By using OUR Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Information WE Collect
- Personal Information: name, email address, phone number, physical address, billing information, and account login credentials.
- Usage Information: how you use OUR Services, including interactions and activity logs.
- Technical Information: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, cookies, and analytics data.
2. How WE Use Your Information
WE use the information WE collect to:
- Provide and improve the Services.
- Communicate with you about your account and OUR Services.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce OUR Terms of Service.
- Administer Challenges — operating the submission platform, coordinating judging, sharing submissions and entrant information with Challenge Sponsors, judges, and challenge partners as needed to run the Challenge, verifying winner eligibility, and publicizing Challenge results as described in the applicable Challenge's Official Rules. Each Entrant grants Sponsor and Administrator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce, display, and distribute the Entrant's name, entity name, logo, and a description of the submission for purposes of administering and publicizing the Challenge. This license does not extend to the underlying technical content of a submission that has not been assigned. Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes consent for Sponsor and Administrator to use the winner's name, entity name, likeness, city and state, and a description of the winning submission for advertising and promotional purposes without further compensation.
3. Sharing of Information
WE do not sell your personal information. WE may share your information:
- With service providers who help US operate OUR Services (such as payment processors and cloud providers).
- With advisors and potential investors who provide feedback and advice.
- With Challenge Sponsors, judges, and challenge partners, solely as needed to administer, judge, and award a Challenge, consistent with the applicable Challenge's Official Rules.
- When required by law or legal process.
- To protect the safety, rights, or property of MatrixOwl, OUR users, or others.
If you use MatrixOwl.com, do not include any document, information, data, or other material that you would not be comfortable sharing with an investor in ordinary due diligence without a signed non-disclosure agreement. If you would be willing to share something with an investor without an NDA in place, it is appropriate to submit it to MatrixOwl. Challenge submissions are governed by the confidentiality terms in the applicable Challenge's Official Rules, not by the general terms of this Privacy Policy.
4. Aggregated and De-Identified Data
MatrixOwl may create aggregated or de-identified data from your information. This data does not identify you personally and may be used for research, analytics, product development, and other business purposes. MatrixOwl owns all rights to such aggregated and de-identified data.
This Section does not apply to the content of a submission from an Entrant who has advanced to a finalist round of a Challenge, for as long as that submission remains subject to the confidentiality obligations in the applicable Challenge's Official Rules. MatrixOwl will not create or claim ownership of aggregated or de-identified data derived from a finalist's submission while those obligations are in effect.
5. Data Security
WE implement reasonable safeguards, including encryption and physical security measures, to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure, and WE cannot guarantee absolute security. You transmit information at your own risk.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting US at info@matrixowl.com. Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights under state or federal law. If you are participating in an active MatrixOwl Challenge, a deletion request may be delayed or limited to the extent your information is needed to complete judging, verify winner eligibility, process a prize, satisfy tax reporting obligations, or resolve a dispute, as described in Section 7 and the applicable Challenge's Official Rules.
7. Data Retention
WE retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
8. Teen and Children's Privacy
OUR Services are not directed to individuals under 18 years old or children under 13 years old, and WE do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years old or from children under 13 years old. If WE learn that WE have collected such information, WE will delete it.
9. Changes to this Policy
WE may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If WE make material changes, WE will notify you by posting the updated policy on OUR website. Your continued use of the Services after any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
10. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado and applicable federal laws of the United States.
